La Fête Du Rosé

You can never go wrong with a Rose from Côtes de Provence, France! Everyone knows this and La Fete Du Rosé is no exception!

And let’s not forget to mention that this brand is also black owned and founded by Donae Burston. Let’s dive in!

April Rosé Wine Series

La Fête Rose is a perfect expression of the Saint Tropez lifestyle!

Provence, France never fails in the Rosé department!

Donue discovered his newly found passion for Rosé during a birthday trip to Saint Tropez. After tasting Rosé from local Provence area, the La Fête “seeds” were planted.

I’ve said it many times before and I’ll say it again, the blends of Grenache and Cinsault seem to never go wrong (additional grapes: Syrah, Mourvedre, Tibouren). I’ve continued to be impressed with this blend, plus other expertly blended grapes, and how well they marry together for a light and vivacious Rosé. And apparently this is a direct reflection of the vibe in Saint Tropez!

Now, let’s be clear, not all Rosés are equal, that’s an understatement. Luckily, La Fête Du Rosé’s founder Donue comes from a well experienced background in the beverage industry, gleaning the ability to know what libations taste good to consumers and where to find the right producers of such wines and spirits, thus brining to our tables this fantastic AND affordable French Rosé.

Tasting Notes

Presenting with an orange/pink salmon color, light in depth and viscosity. The nose is fresh with minerals and strawberry with a hint of pineapple. The feel on the palate is noticeably smooth right away and refreshingly light. The flavor is heavy with tropical fruit notes. Finishes short BUT very satisfying!

Food & Wine Pairing

As always for me, Rosés are great stand-alones, but I can see a nice pairing with a spicy ramen.

At this time, the La Fête brand is offering only their signature Rosé as well as a white blend, La Fête Du Blanc. Access to the Rosé is not difficult at all. I’ve had success at large grocers, that keep a healthy wine collection, like Kroger and Publix. Ironically, you may not find this brand in your local wine specialty shop unless it’s a featured wine.
