Winking Owl Wine

You’re not one of those people that walk up and down the wine aisle at the grocery store pondering your choice. You walk right over to the cheap box or giant jug of wine that you’re used to and you are beyond content with that!

I’m here to tell you, that as your local wine enthusiast that has had SUPER expensive wines and also the good old cheap boxed stuff, THERE’S NOTHING WRONG with drinking cheap wine!

The bougie wine drinkers of the world would have you believing that it is completely blasphemous to consume that stuff, but in reality wine drinking at its core is all about how the drinker enjoys it. If you enjoy Carlo Rossi, Franzia, and Barefoot wines, by all means you have my blessing to indulge. And let’s all just be honest with ourselves here, the stuff tastes good!

Here are my TOP 5 favorite cheap wine choices. I must admit, once I discovered “better” wines, I haven’t exactly gone back to the cheap stuff, but there was a time that that was all I really could afford and they definitely get the job done.

Barefoot: You all know it and probably already drink it, but to me it’s one of the most popular even award winning wines you can purchase. Each 750ml bottle will run you about $3-$5 each. If you’re already drinking it, cheers! If you haven’t tried it, go ahead and have a sip!

Sutter Home Sangria Review: Another popular cheap wine that everyones mom and grandma knows about. They’ve got all the wine flavors you can think of and they come in large bottles too! My absolute favorite is the Sangria. They’ll run you about $5-$10/bottle depending on the size.

Franzia: Here’s a funny story! When my husband and I first got married, we had very low funds, but my hubby knew exactly how to turn on the romance with this good cheap box wine right here! It actually is one of the best tasting cheap wines I’ve ever had and you can get a whole 5 liters for about $10-$15 each, which equals to about 34 glasses of wine. HELLO!

Verdi Sparkling Wine: If you want a few bubbles in your wine, then this is a good choice. It tastes so delicious and is good change from your typical wine flavors. It will run you about $5/bottle.

Well that’s my list! The only negative thing I can say about drinking cheap wines is that they often give a bad wine headache after consumption because of all the additives in the ingredients.
